MINI BRL Rules
Tamiya Mini Sports TCS rules will apply, with the following exceptions
a/ A spec power system will be used. The only motor and ESC allowed will be the Hobbywing EZRUN-35A ESC and the 13T@3000KV motor (EZRUN-3650M Motor). These can be bought as a combo, which includes a programming card for the ESC.
This system is also rebadged by other companies,under their own label, for instance RCMart sells it under the Yeah Racing label. These systems will also be legal. The 13T spec motor is laser etched with "13T" on the motor can. This will make for easy teching.
Note: If the motor is not etched with "13T" it will not be legal for BRL, no exceptions. Make sure that the system you buy has the etched motor (Hobbywing has been etching the 13T motor since last year, so the chances of getting a non-etched motor is remote, but make sure you ask the vendor). Speed Passion has an M-Chassis system made by Hobbywing. The Speed passion motor is not legal for BRL, since it has a higher KV rating (3300)
b/ Batteries: Orion 2400 Experience LiPo, Reedy Spec 2400 LiPo and any NiCd or NiMH sport pack up to 3000maH. No other batteries allowed.
c/ Bodies: Any readily available body that is designed for M chassis is legal at Lou's Speedway. Body style doesn't have to follow chassis drive, ie. RWD on FWD chassis is Ok
d/ Spec Pinion: Given the more powerful motor, a spec pinion size will be specified for certain tracks to keep speeds within reason. For Lou's the pinion size will be 16T for M03/M05, 17T for M04. For larger tracks like RROL the maximum sized pinion can be used for the chassis. M03 can use 20T, M04 can use 21T.
Notes on Tamiya Rules: 1 There will be no minimum weight for BRL.
2 Only Tamiya M-Chassis tires and wheels will be allowed. 60D ( 60mm. diameter ) Tires - # 50683 - Kit Tire, # 50684 - M-Grip, # 53254 - S-Grip( Super Grip ), # 53340 - Reinforced Type-A Slicks
